Description: Attention all CloudCop users including Admins, Commanders and Patrol Officers: A FREE user training conference is being offered August 12, 2016 to be hosted by Varnell Police Department. Post Certified credit is awarded to attendees. Lunch will be served. RSVP required. Guest law enforcement agencies who do not currently use CloudCop are also welcome to attend FREE, so please bring a guest who you think might benefit from learning more about CloudCop.

Training Topics to be Covered:
** UCR REPORTING **
a. How to use new UCR Reporting process. Include demo. b. Explain what portions of online UCR Reporting that require a zero ( 0 ) to be reported in order to be considered complete. c. Explain UCR Guidelines for case clearance Codes. i. Exceptionally Cleared ii. Cleared by Arrest
** ENTERING PROPERTY AND EVIDENCE IN RMS **
a. Proper use of Property tab to enter stolen property into RMS b. Proper reporting of stolen item values and recovered item values. Only agency that reported something stolen can report a recovered item value. c. Consider using Property/Evidence summary page as an evidence sheet. d. If your agency is currently using an all paper no barcode system for evidence room management, consider switching to all RMS evidence management.
** RMS AND INVESTIGATORS **
a. Set up the CID Case Status field for investigations. Set Under Investigation, Ready for Approval, and Investigation Complete. b. Allow road Sergeants to assign cases to CID vs making CID supervisor read every case. c. Discuss investigations using only supplemental reports for child and sexual assault cases.
** CHANGING MISCELLANEOUS REPORTS INTO INCIDENT REPORTS **
a. Simply add an offender and click save. This will change the report into an incident.
5. ** USING RMS FOR HIT AND RUN ACCIDENTS ** a. Start the report as a wreck report. b. Document the accident narrative in the main narrative portion of the report. c. Use a supplemental report to document the criminal hit and run investigation part. d. Alternative idea is to write an accident report and incident report with same case number.
** USING RMS FOR CODE COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATIONS **
a. Add city ordinances for code violations into RMS violation codes. b. Write an incident report for each ordinance investigation. c. Use the incident type search or address search to see history of ordinance investigations at a particular residence.
